Right from
1963, lego 42056 pieces have been made and manufactured from a very strong and
resilient plastic that is known to be acrylonitrile butadiene. When it was
exactly September 2008, the creative Lego engineers began to use some modern
and relevant software in the world of engineering and technology in other to
suit the model or prototype of the element they had in mind. Such software
include: NEX CAD, CAE, CAM, and PLM. This software makes the parts of the Lego
to be adequately optimized by the way of stress analysis and mould flow. The
prototype mould is usually built just before the company launch into the design
of mass production.
The plastic
called ABS used is first heated up to a temperature of about 232 0C
which is (450 oF) until it get to point of dough-like consistency.
Then it will be injected into that moulds at a particular pressure between 25
and 150 tones. This will then take about 15seconds to get cooled. In the
process of manufacturing this lego 42056, there is allowance or permission for
the moulds to reach up to 2 micrometers in other to make the bricks stay
connected. The output of the moulds is inspected by a human inspector to ensure
thatany significant variation in thickness or colors is totally eliminated.
Based on this experience gained overtime by the Lego Group, it has been noticed
and affirmed that out of millions of bricks made; just about eighteen usually
fail to meet the required standard. The Lego factory usually carry out the
recycling of all of their plastics, only one percent is wasted during
manufacturing process and remained unusable afterward.
In a situation whereby those plastics cannot
be re-used in the process of lego 42056 bricks, it can be processed again and
get them sold to other industries that can easily make use of them.
